Dr. Carolina Muñoz is a Colombian physician with nearly two decades of experience in the comprehensive coordination of international patients arriving in Colombia for advanced medical care. Her career has been devoted to one belief: that every patient who crosses borders for their health deserves the same standard of advocacy, dignity, and personal attention they would expect from their own physician at home.
As Medical Director, she leads the clinical coordination of every patient journey, she ensures that every patient novvacare accepts is matched with the right specialist, in the right facility, with the right legal and logistical structure around them — from first conversation through return home — ensuring no detail is missed and no patient ever feels alone.

Mauricio Castillo
Co-Founder & Director of International Relations
Mauricio Castillo is a pioneer of international healthcare in Colombia. For over two decades, he has worked at the institutional and commercial frontier of the country’s medical sector — building agreements with foreign insurers, ministries, and governments to open Colombia’s doors to international patients.
His relationships with Colombia’s leading specialists, hospitals, and legal advisors form the foundation of the curated network at the heart of novvacare. Few people in the country understand both sides of an international medical journey — the commercial complexity behind it and the human experience inside it — as deeply as Mauricio does.
